Terms & Conditions

• The renter must be at least 21 years of age at the time of rental.
• A valid driving license held for a minimum of 2 years is required.
• Drivers from non-EU countries must present an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their national license.
• The renter must present a valid passport or national ID.
• All additional drivers must meet the same eligibility requirements and must be declared at the time of rental.

Prices shown on our website are indicative starting prices. The final price is agreed upon directly between the customer and MK Rent a Car via phone, email, WhatsApp, or Viber.

• Bookings are confirmed only after direct communication and agreement with our team.
• A deposit may be required at the time of vehicle handover.
• Accepted payment methods: Cash, Bank Transfer. Card payments subject to availability — please confirm in advance.
• All prices are in Euros (€) and include Greek VAT where applicable.
• The rental period is counted in full calendar days (24-hour periods).

Vehicle pickup is at our location in Filakas, Komotini or by arrangement at the airport or train station (see section 8).

• The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date and time. Late returns may incur an additional daily charge.
• The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was received — clean and undamaged.
• A vehicle inspection will be performed at both pickup and return. Any new damage will be documented and charged accordingly.
• Keys must be returned in person. Loss of keys will result in a replacement charge.

MK Rent a Car operates on a "Full to Full" fuel policy:

• The vehicle is provided with a full tank of petrol.
• The vehicle must be returned with a full tank.
• If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel at the current local pump price plus a refueling service fee.

All vehicles are covered by Greek third-party liability insurance as required by law.

• The renter is liable for any damage to the vehicle caused during the rental period that is not covered by insurance.
• Damage resulting from negligence, off-road use, driving under the influence, or prohibited use is not covered and will be charged in full to the renter.
• In case of an accident, the renter must immediately notify MK Rent a Car and complete a European Accident Report form.
• Interior damage, key loss, and tyre damage are typically not covered by standard third-party insurance.

• 48+ hours before pickup: Full cancellation, no charge.
• 24–48 hours before pickup: 50% of the agreed rental price may be charged.
• Less than 24 hours before pickup: Up to 100% of the first day's rental may be charged.
• Cancellations must be made by direct contact via phone, WhatsApp, or email.
• MK Rent a Car reserves the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund will be issued.

The rented vehicle must not be used for:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
• Off-road driving or use on unsealed roads not suitable for the vehicle.
• Racing, speed testing, or any competitive driving activity.
• Transporting goods or persons for commercial hire or reward.
• Pushing or towing another vehicle.
• Driving outside of Greece without prior written consent from MK Rent a Car.
• Allowing an undeclared or unlicensed driver to operate the vehicle.

MK Rent a Car offers vehicle delivery and collection at:

• Alexandroupolis International Airport (AXD) — "Dimokritos"
• Komotini Railway Station

Airport/station pickup must be arranged in advance. Please notify us of your flight or train number and estimated arrival time. Additional charges may apply for airport/station delivery — confirm with our team at the time of booking.

MK Rent a Car collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Greek law.

• Data collected: Name, contact details (phone, email), driver's license details, and booking information.
• Purpose: To process rental bookings, communicate with customers, and comply with legal obligations.
• Retention: Personal data is retained for the duration required by Greek tax and legal regulations, typically 5 years.
• Third parties: We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
